Gem of the Day – Tider Design

Diane of Tider Design describes herself as social scientist by day and jeweler by night. Intriguing indeed !

I have chosen Tider Design’s silver bamboo and blue grey enamel necklace as my ‘Gem of the Day’ today because it incorporates a technique I’ve not tried before, but would like to.  Once the pendant has been enamelled the bamboo design is then applied with silver foils giving a very simple but effective result. I must give this a try. I have the foils already, there is simply no excuse.

Discover the favourite things of New York based Tider Design on her blog or see more of Diane’s unique jewellery designs via the Tider Design Etsy shop. Lovely stuff!

Who’s been my ‘gem of the day’ before? Which has been your favourite so far? Please leave a comment below. I’d love your feedback.
