What did Simon think of Jewellery Classes in Brighton?

Pictured above is the handmade silver ring that one of my students Simon made in my 3 hour introduction to Jewellery making course.

Below is Simon’s feedback in his own words:

1-2-1 Jewellery Classes with Elizabeth Anne Norris

“I had no silversmithing or jewellery making experience at all. I would say I am a practical person, well I’d like to think I’m good with tools! I’ve used a lot of tools in past for work and hobbies. The class was more than expected it was very relaxed and I felt at ease straight away. It definitely matched what I learnt, it was so nice to be able to take something home at the end of the class and I feel everything was explained very clearly. The class notes where especially great, very helpful clearly stating all tools used.

Elizabeth made me feel very relaxed and confident with what I was doing. As a visual learner, the practical demonstrations gave me a clear understanding of what I was making which made it much easier to understand. It was explained in detail all the tools that I would be using. I felt Elizabeth’s direction enabled me to be confident in using tools that I’d not only never seen let alone used before!

It was very clear that Elizabeth is a very talented jewellery maker and this showed through her teaching. As a complete novice I found the tools fairly easy which I would put down to Elizabeth’s guidance and clear instructions. However I wasn’t so great at the maths but luckily there was only a small amount involved!!

This course is exceptional value and I would and will recommend and rate it highly. The biggest highlight would be that you can walk away with a finished product, which made my wife extremely happy as it was her valentine’s gift. I feel that the course is exactly what it states, and my expectations were more than met. I have been to Elizabeth a few times now and will continue in the future. And create some of my own designs with her guidance. All in all I think this course is very good value, very relaxed and a lot of fun. And I would advise anyone that is thinking of exploring the world of silver jewellery making to book a session with Elizabeth.”
