Happy Monday. I get very enthusiastic about growing my own fruit and veg, eating delicious food and admiring pretty flowers. Here are some examples of lovely things. Hope you like them too.
My Home grown cherry tomatoes.
My first attempt at home-grown carrots.
I got a double crop of strawberries this year. Small but very tasty.
My lunch today, homemade Bruschetta. Yummy !
We had lots to celebrate in our family this year and this beautiful cake was made especially for our party. Mark Tilling, who made the cake was UK Chocolate Master 2006 – 2009. Amazing work. So lucky to have Mark in our familly.
At my belated birthday celebrations in Brighton this weekend my local and talented friend Sue Roberts made this astounding carrot cake. It tasted as good as it looks !
Sue makes the best tasting black forest gateaux cake as well (contains Kirsch soaked cherries that are to die for !) Look at those handmade chocolate leaves…
… and these divine cupcakes were made for a recent wedding by my other Brighton based lovelies Cam and Sarah.
These are just one bunch of gorgeous flowers I received from friends for my birthday. I am so lucky.
And finally, the flowers on my window sill.
Have a great week everyone. Hope you see lots of things this week that excite and inspire you.
