Design Inspiration – Quiet Contemplation

I have had a very inspiring week or so. You could say inspiration overload! My head is buzzing with ideas and designs.

Linnie McLarty – Contemporary Jewellery Designer Maker

First I had a chat with the rather lovely Linnie McLarty who is not only an amazing designer (see pic left), doing great things right now, an incredibly busy mother of two but she also took time out to talk to little old me.  Much appreciated.

I  studied at Sir John Cass Department of Art and Design with Linnie and have been watching her success in awe. Debbie Harry has recently been photographed wearing Linnie’s jewellery. How amazing is that !

IJL 2011

Then on Sunday I went to IJL 2011 (International Jewellery London) at Earls Court which is a feast for the eyes indeed. So much exciting going on in the world of Jewellery. Look out for my post of my highlights of IJL 2011.

So now I am taking some time to step back and capture my thoughts in a cohesive manner. My recommendation for this weeks design inspiration is some quiet contemplation.  Back soon.

Contemplation

This beautiful photo is by Melissa Frank on Flickr.

When was the last time you took time out to review your plans, compile your ideas, identify where you are heading ?

I’m mind mapping tonight. Ever used a mind map? Did it help?
