Gem of the day – Michelle York

This is my ‘Gem of the day’ because the turquoise enamel and this brass cuff make a perfect match, the interesting hammered texture is done using a secret technique that I cannot reveal, and I just love its chunky statementness (I am prone to making up words if you didn’t know already).

Michelle York and her husband collaborate together for ‘Metal Morphous Jewellery‘.  Michelle also has her own line of jewellery including knitted wire and bead work that I will never have the patience to do myself.

Anyway, you will have to be nice if you want her to tell you about her very own unique texturing method. It certainly wasn’t what I was expecting !
