Design Inspiration – Himalayas

Our planet is amazing and I have stood in awe and wonder at some places I’ve seen. One such occasion was peering out of an aeroplane window and saw the Urals from above for the first time. It was a beautiful sight. I took photos but sadly cannot find them anymore.  It was before the digital age had hit me. I wanted to find a photo to share with you and the following is the nearest I can find. It is a satellite photo of the Himalayas from a NASA Satellite ‘Landsat’. It gives me the same feeling of wonderment. Enjoy…

April 12th, 2001: Description: Soaring, snow-capped peaks and ridges of the eastern Himalaya Mountains create an irregular white-on-red patchwork between major rivers in southwestern China. The Himalayas are made up of three parallel mountain ranges that together extend more than 2,900 kilometers.
