Well it’s almost the end of Spring and I almost forgot to tell you about my Spring inspired creations. How could that have happened? I’ve been so busy enthusing about the enamel jewellery of my fellow designers that I forgot to tell you about mine. The irony in this is that my spring inspired jewellery features forget me not flowers.
Forget me not flowers have been documented in religion, folklore and history as flowers of love and rememberance. These forget me not stud earrings are slightly larger than the real thing, approximately 9mm across. They are handmade earrings of sterling silver and enamelled in lapis blue and yellow. They sit neatly on an sterling silver oval (1/11/17mm) that symbolises abundance, creativity, fertility, and luck. And of course forget me not flowers are a sure sign of the English Springtime, my favourite season. Yes I have put some thought into it and hopefully you agree these are timeless, special and very cute.
And here is the matching forget me not enamelled necklace on a silver cord approximately 9mm thickness and with a very neat bayonet fastening.
You can see these and my other designs at my latest exhibition in Brighton, 27/28 May 2011, 11am-6pm, 20a Springfield Road, Brighton, BN1 6EE. Please ring me for more details on 0777 339 4413.
