Today’s post is dedicated to the survivors of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami who are experiencing loss and suffering the likes of which I can only imagine. My thoughts are with them all.

As our season turns to spring and I see the blossom on our trees it only reminds me more of the tragedy in Japan. I was lucky enough to travel around Japan 6 years ago and learnt then that the Japanese cherish and celebrate blossom ‘sakura’ each year. The fleeting blossoms are a metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life.  How poignant.
